My Fiancé and My Nemesis Swapped Souls

I couldn’t stand it anymore and slapped him across the face: “Can you be serious for once?”

Actually, I didn’t use any force; the slap was just to interrupt him.

But he held his face, looking shocked: “You hit me again?”

His expression was extremely exaggerated, acting like a drama king.

I was speechless and didn’t bother paying attention to him anymore. I rolled my eyes at him, sidestepped him, and went upstairs.

Although the adults said the wedding would continue in three days, looking at the current situation, I’m afraid this wedding can no longer take place.

Not just because Gabriel and Sylvester’s souls had swapped.

But also because Sylvester had cheated on me.

Although Gabriel didn’t say it outright, I wasn’t blind to the abnormalities between Sylvester and Hazel.

At first, I only felt Sylvester was a bit strange, but when I saw Hazel appear here, my suspicions gained a clear direction.

My intuition told me that the relationship between Sylvester and Hazel was definitely not normal.

Today, when Hazel fell, Sylvester was so nervous, which further confirmed my speculations.

“Bestie, the information about the villa you asked me to look into, I found it.”

In the evening, while I was soaking in the bathtub, my childhood best friend Lily called.

“That villa previously belonged to Sylvester, but just a few months ago, the property owner was changed to Hazel. I bet these two are already living together!”

Lily sounded indignant, cursing on the other end of the line, while I didn’t say a word.

When I heard Hazel say she bought a house here, I felt something was off and casually asked for her address. That very night I asked Lily to investigate; Lily’s husband is a real estate developer in this area, so getting this bit of information was not difficult at all.

“Now that you know he cheated, are you planning to cancel the engagement?”

“I…”

Before I could finish my sentence, the lightbulb suddenly flickered, and my vision instantly plunged into darkness.

“What’s wrong? Why aren’t you saying anything?”

“Nothing, the power just suddenly went out.”

I hung up the phone, turned on my phone’s flashlight feature, and relied on the dim light to step out of the bathtub.

When the lights were on, I didn’t feel anything, but now that the surroundings suddenly plunged into darkness, accompanied by the fierce howling wind outside, a creepy feeling instantly crept up on me.

The floor was very slippery. I had just slipped my feet into my slippers when a knock on the door outside startled me, making me slip and fall to the ground.

I let out a cry of pain, and my phone also fell to the floor.

Before I could even react, the door outside was suddenly pushed open: “What’s wrong, are you okay?”

Gabriel’s anxious voice came from outside the bathroom. Hearing him searching for me everywhere, my heart panicked, afraid he would come in. I hurriedly opened my mouth to say “I’m fine”.

But before I could stop him, he had already thrown open the bathroom door.

Me: “…”

Freezing for a second, I roared: “Get out!!!”

That fall just now gave me a cramp in my leg…

He turned his face away, not looking at me: “Did you fall?”

“If you hadn’t knocked on the door, I would have been perfectly fine!” I vented my anger on him a bit.

“Can you stand up on your own?”

If I could stand up on my own, would I still be lying spread-eagle on the floor naked and embarrassed right now?

While I was cursing him in my heart, he suddenly approached, grabbed the bathrobe next to me, wrapped me up tightly, and lifted me.

I was terrified: “Who permitted you to hold me?”

“Don’t worry, I didn’t look.”

Pausing for a second, he mockingly added: “Besides, you don’t have anything worth looking at anyway.”

“Gabriel!” I was so angry my face turned red, “You hooligan! You pervert!”

“If you keep scolding me, I’ll make this bad reputation a reality.”

He threatened lazily, scaring me into obediently shutting my mouth.

If we were on equal footing, I would definitely argue with him to the end, but currently, I was at a disadvantage.

“Why did the power suddenly go out?”

“I just came to tell you that the power lines were short-circuited by the wind. Property management is currently calling someone to fix it.”

I glanced at the pink heart-shaped small desk lamp he just brought in and frowned: “Where did you dig up such a tacky little lamp in such a short amount of time?”

It somehow looked familiar…

“You don’t remember it?”

“What should I remember?”

Seeing my confused expression, he seemed a bit angry and his face darkened: “If you can’t remember, forget it.”

Seeing him about to leave, I hurriedly called out: “Are you just going to leave like that?”

He turned back: “What? Do you want me to stay with you?”

I was speechless.

I originally intended to ask someone to stay with me for courage while waiting for the power lines to be fixed, but now that he put it like this, it felt like my request was a bit suggestive.

Seeing me not answering, he instead grew interested, giving me a meaningful once-over: “Has Sylvester ever seen you without your clothes on?”

“…?” I paused for a beat, then flew into a rage: “Are you a pervert?! You scumbag!”

“Looks like he hasn’t.” The corners of his lips curled up, “So now that I’m using Sylvester’s eyes to look at you, does it count as him looking, or me looking?”

“Gabriel!” I was so angry my face turned completely red. Didn’t he just say he didn’t look?!

It was truly impossible to live under the same roof with Gabriel; sooner or later, I would be angered to death by him.

“Get the hell out ——!”

Sylvester returned early the next morning.

As soon as he got back, he came knocking on my door.

To be honest, I was very annoyed. Was there something so massive that he had to disturb someone’s sleep early in the morning?

“Sorry, Olivia, I texted you but you didn’t reply.”

He wore a guilty expression.

My expression remained cold: “Is there something you need?”

“About yesterday, I want to explain things to you.”

“I thought the first thing you should do is go apologize to Gabriel. After all, you senselessly caused him to be misunderstood as having a little girlfriend in the entertainment industry.”

“What has he told you?”

Sylvester’s face suddenly changed: “Did Gabriel badmouth me behind your back?”

I frowned, feeling for the first time that Sylvester was a stranger.

Why did he think that way?

When Gabriel did unscrupulous things, he always did them openly in front of people; he never played tricks behind their backs.

Seeing me not answer, Sylvester grew a bit anxious. He grabbed my hand, his grip slightly tight: “Olivia, no matter what he told you, don’t believe it. I can explain this matter to you; it wasn’t my subjective intention.”

“Early in the morning, can you be a bit quiet? Are you going to let people sleep or not?”

Gabriel’s door suddenly swung open, and Gabriel walked out.

He frowned as he glanced at Sylvester, then at me, and finally, his gaze rested on my hand being tightly held by Sylvester.

I didn’t know if it was an illusion, but I kept feeling his gaze carried a hint of mockery.

I subconsciously pulled my hand out of Sylvester’s grip, stepping back: “We’ll talk later.”

Sylvester furrowed his brows slightly: “Gabriel, what tricks are you trying to play again?”

Gabriel didn’t bother answering, turning his head to look at me: “Little Olivia, tell me, if a face gets ruined, can the wedding continue to be postponed?”

Before I could comprehend anything, I saw him reveal a faint smile, looking provocatively at Sylvester: “I was talking to little Olivia, we talked about everything. Last night we interacted very intimately, I even carried her. So what, is that not allowed? Are you mad? Hit me then!”

As soon as those words left his mouth, my heart jumped.

Almost simultaneously, Sylvester was provoked until his eyes turned red, rushing up and delivering a fierce punch to Gabriel’s face.

“You bastard! You dare touch her!”

Gabriel didn’t fight back at all, intentionally letting him hit him, and in just a short moment, he was beaten black and blue.

“I told you I would handle this smoothly, why do you insist on destroying us?!”

Sylvester seemed to have lost his mind, and Gabriel continued to anger him, deliberately talking about how he and I hugged intimately and so on.

When I called people from outside to stop the fight and dragged Gabriel back to his room to apply medicine, his face was already swollen like a pig’s head.

“Why didn’t you fight back?”

“Nonsense, that’s my face, if I beat myself up, am I crazy?”

I was speechless.

For a moment I didn’t know whether to praise him for being smart or criticize him for being stupid.

“But right now you are in his body, you are the one enduring the pain.”

“So what? Do you think this young master is afraid of this little bit of pain?”

Just as he finished speaking, I forcefully pressed the gauze in my hand against his face, and he immediately yowled in pain.

“Are you trying to murder me?”

“Didn’t you say you weren’t afraid of pain?”

After finishing applying the medicine, I packed up the first aid kit. Just as I was about to leave, he suddenly pulled me back: “Are you helping me apply medicine for my sake, or for his?”

“What do you mean?”

“Are you worried about me being in pain, or are you distressed over his face?”

“Distressed over you? Are you crazy or am I crazy?”

My look of disgust was extremely obvious. He innocently raised an eyebrow, neither angry nor upset.

However, after a moment of silence, he spoke again: “What are your plans for now?”

“What plans?”

He stared intently: “Continue to delay the engagement? Or, directly cancel the engagement?”

My expression faltered slightly.

Delaying the engagement was meaningless.

Of course, it was to cancel the engagement.
