The Wedding Crasher Moment

The man froze. He didn’t dare to look up, Trying his best to let his hat and mask cover himself.

He wore a baseball cap and black-rimmed glasses, looking very much like the wedding crasher in my dream.

“Why aren’t you talking?” I walked forward with a smile. “Do you want to come inside my place for a cup of water before leaving?”

“You… you’ve got the wrong person.”

“I haven’t. Fabian, even if you wrap yourself like a cocoon, I’d still recognize you.”

“Why?”

“Because… you are very special.”

I left it vague, causing Fabian to misunderstand. He nervously took off his mask, revealing a refined expression.

Fabian was the one with the most aristocratic composure among the group of four. Born into an artistic family, he had grown up with far more cultural influence than others.

“When did you know it was me?” Fabian asked.

“Just now.” I lied. In fact, as early as the first day, I had vaguely guessed it was him.

Fabian was a collector and a curator. But few people knew That he could paint.

As far as I knew, among these few people, he was the only one who could draw. This was something Harrison had mentioned casually when he was drunk once.

“What do those cards of yours mean?” I asked with feigned doubt. “Could it be that you’ve secretly loved me all along?”

“Of course not!” Fabian denied it immediately. But his eyes flickered, his guilt far too obvious.

I let out a sigh of relief with a faint smile: “I thought so. Your family is full of intellectuals and artists. With an ordinary background like mine, how could you possibly care about me?”

Fabian could only nod along with my words.

“Then why did you send these to me?” The topic circled back.

Fabian was put on the spot, so he braced himself and said: “I’m testing you on Harrison’s behalf.”

“Why test me?”

“Because you… really know how to seduce people.”

“What?”

“I’ll just tell you the truth, Gwen. Since you’ve decided to marry Harrison, be a bit more low-key in the future. Don’t seduce me anymore.”

I was bewildered: “Wait a minute, when did I ever seduce you?”

“Every time you see me, you smile at me, and you intentionally smile so nicely!” Fabian became righteously indignant, “Even now! I know the shape of your eyes is pretty, but stop blinking! I won’t be charmed by you!”

…Brother, every human being has to blink!

I pointed at the painting again and asked: “Then what’s the purpose of these paintings? Testing me doesn’t warrant painting them yourself, does it?”

“I admit you look a little bit good in a wedding dress, but only a tiny bit.” Fabian spoke in his usual arrogant tone, “I have a desire to record beautiful things. Don’t overthink it.”

Since that was the case, I nodded heavily: “Fine, starting today I’ll be careful. I’ll stay far away from you in the future.”

Fabian was stunned. “Wait a second, I didn’t mean that either…”

Before he could finish, I brought out all the paintings and flowers he had sent over the past week from my room and stuffed them all back into his arms.

“When we meet in the future, let’s pretend we don’t know each other.”

With a bang, I closed the door, Leaving a dazed Fabian standing helplessly on the spot.

Up until now, both Julian and Fabian were potential wedding crashers. Yet Harrison remained completely oblivious to their dark intentions.

Things were getting more and more interesting.

I went to visit Harrison. He was at the racetrack, Together with those three brothers.

Drake was a race car driver who competed abroad year-round. On the rare occasions he returned home, he would invite the few of them to drive on private racetracks for thrill. This was also Harrison’s favorite recreational activity.

Seeing me arrive, Harrison wasn’t very excited. There was a pretty girl in his passenger seat.

I asked: “Who is she?”

“A navigator.”

“Don’t lie to me. F1 racing doesn’t need a navigator.”

Harrison’s fingers tapped impatiently on the steering wheel. “Carrying a girl in the passenger seat makes the race meaningful. Gwen, we aren’t officially married yet, so don’t control me too much.”

As soon as he finished speaking, He slammed his foot on the accelerator. He sped off like lightning.

Harrison was the first to reach the finish line. The girl in the passenger seat waved her hands excitedly and shouted.

Turning around, he found that I hadn’t left yet.

“Gwen, do you just not trust me? That girl is just a driving companion, we aren’t doing anything. Can you not watch me so closely?”

“I just came to ask you if the guest list is over budget, and if we need to add more tables.”

“Add them then. Why do you need to ask me about such a small matter?” He took a long stride with his legs, picked up a bottle of mineral water, and took a gulp. He added:

“I can invite as many people as needed. Fix that narrow-minded habit of yours.”

I stood up abruptly: “Harrison, do you regret getting engaged to me?”

Harrison was stunned. He didn’t expect me to actually get angry, especially in front of so many people. His face momentarily couldn’t take the embarrassment.

“Gwen, do you know what people outside are saying? They say I’m stupid for marrying a woman who offers zero help to my career. If it weren’t for you being cute and pretty, why would I have chosen you?”

“If you don’t marry me, there will always be someone willing to.”

Saying that, out of the corner of my eye, I glanced to the side. Julian and Fabian were both secretly watching me.

And then there was Drake. But he only cast a glance before looking away, Lowering his eyes, as if he wasn’t familiar with me.
